Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

Insurance plans typically do not cover EMDR intensives, but I do accept most major insurance plans for standard counseling sessions. Please contact me to confirm whether your plan is accepted.

What is EMDR therapy?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help people heal from distressing experiences and trauma.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation—such as guided eye movements or tapping—to help the brain reprocess painful memories and reduce emotional distress. Many clients experience significant relief from trauma, anxiety, and stress-related symptoms through EMDR.

Can I receive counseling services if I live in another state or country?

Currently, I provide counseling services to residents of Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida only. If you are traveling outside these states or abroad, we will need to pause or reschedule sessions until you return.

What if I experience technical difficulties during an online session?

Technology is wonderful—until it isn’t. If technical issues occur during an online session, we’ll discuss next steps together, such as switching to another device or rescheduling the session, to ensure continuity of care and minimize disruptions.
